How does the prompt box work?
We fill your Prompt Box with unique, authentic, and creative prompts to fuel your ideas. From old vintage photographs, quirky postcards, unopened letters, to colourful packs of words. Each box is unique and delivered to your door.
Our Prompt Boxes will help you write fiction and non-fiction, or you can use them to write poetry. You’ll also get lots of guidance in our Prompt Box workbooks. The workbooks will help you to expand on the prompts in your box and will keep you writing and inspired as you work through the box of ideas.
The boxes are hand-finished in Derbyshire.

What you do with the prompts?
As you unwrap the prompts, keep a pen and paper to hand and see what stories they start to spark. Hold the items and answer the questions they prompt, create characters, and explore ideas. Read through the workbook and allow it to push your ideas further, stretching your creativity.
The more you put into The Prompt Box, the more you’ll get out of it. You’ll need to use your imagination, but the payoff will be lots of wonderful stories.
The entire purpose of the Prompt Box is to stretch your imagination. The workbook included in your box will provide you with a step-by-step guide, but this product is about you challenging your creativity and stretching your ideas. Try new genres and styles. Remember, it should be fun.
Are all the Prompt Boxes the same?
We currently have four different Prompt Boxes – Spark, Inspire, Create and Ignite. Each box has different prompts and includes a workbook. The best part of the Prompt Box is the surprise elements. You don’t know what’s in your box. We would encourage you to refrain from looking at what’s included, but if you just can’t help yourself, you’ll find some details below. The surprise of not knowing is more fun though, we promise.

Some of the prompts will spark instant ideas and you’ll be running to find a pen; others will challenge you. It will be a slow burn. You’ll have to dig deep and stretch your imagination muscle to develop a new idea. This is all part of the joy of the Prompt Box.

The Prompt Box is our brand new, never been seen before idea. Every time we try new things, we push our comfort zones a little further; we build our resilience, but most importantly, we push our creativity to new limits. We stretch our imagination to realise new ideas, and we write stories and make art that we didn’t even believe was possible.
3. You’ll start to make space for writing in your life.
The Prompt Box will make you write more. It’s so important to make time for you. Whether you want to write to earn money, or to have fun, making time for things you enjoy is essential. Not only does it help for mental wellbeing, but it helps to refuel, to allow you to understand more about who you are and what you love. Even if you can only spare five minutes a day, receiving your prompts through the door is something you won’t be able to ignore or put off.
